How Hikmat Pump Company Got Started
Mr. Masood Khan did not enter manufacturing overnight. His family has been involved in the pump industry since 1992. Over the years, he worked across different markets. And he spent around 18 years in China, in the very region where pumps are manufactured and exported to the world.
During that time, he built a manufacturing setup there. By 2017, he had made the decision to shift that setup to Pakistan, driven by a clear vision for what local manufacturing could become.

Mr. Masood Khan’s connection with HiTech started through its founder, Habib Sahib, before he even knew the company. The two first worked together on a UPVC-related project, and that experience shaped how Mr. Masood approached future machinery decisions.
“In professional matters, it is better to approach experts instead of trying to become an expert in every field yourself,” he said.
That thinking led him to purchase a PVC extruder from HiTech first, followed by injection molding machines in 2019 and again in 2022, specifically for pump component manufacturing.

The injection molding machines sourced from HiTech are being used to produce a range of plastic components that go directly into the pump assembly. These include impellers, diffusers, and several other internal parts.
Mr. Masood was clear that the overall output, covering the machine, the mold, and the material, comes together to deliver a strong final product.
He mentioned, “It is very excellent. The quality of the machine, the molds, the material, everything overall results in a very good product.”
Machine Performance and Product Quality
For someone with Mr. Masood’s background, assessing machine quality is not guesswork. Having run manufacturing operations in China for nearly two decades, he knows what good performance looks like and what poor performance costs.
His verdict on HiTech machines has been straightforward from the beginning. Performance has been consistently good, and when technical issues have come up, as they do with any machinery, they have been resolved quickly.
“I have personally seen problems resolved within 24 to 48 hours. I have the record of that,” he said.

After-Sales Support and Technical Backup
Mr. Masood spoke at length about why after-sales service was the deciding factor when he chose HiTech.
“The main reason was service availability. The biggest issue with machines is usually after-sales service. Sometimes components are not available. But HiTech’s best quality is that their components and support are available when needed,” he said.
He also addressed the common question of buying directly from China. With 18 years of experience there and an office still running in the country, he is in a better position than most to give an honest answer.
“The real issue comes when a problem occurs. Your production may stop for a week or even a month. With HiTech, they accommodate and resolve issues quickly,” he said.
He recalled one HiTech engineer who arrived late at night, refused tea, and said, “First tell me the problem.” The work was wrapped up late night, after which the engineer left the same night for another city. That kind of commitment stayed with Mr. Masood.
