We had the privilege of sitting down with Mr. Muhammad Ibrahim, CEO and Founder of MZH Packages, to discuss his experience with HiTech Machinery, the impact of upgrading to advanced technology, and his insights into the evolving plastic industry in Pakistan.

How did MZH Packages choose HiTech Machinery?

For readers, I wanted to mention that MZH Packages recently purchased a Tederic injection molding machine from HiTech Machinery, and this interview was conducted primarily to get their feedback. 

However, Mr. Muhammad Ibrahim’s relationship with HiTech Machinery began long before his recent purchase of an injection molding machine. He had been following the company on social media and purchasing auxiliaries, building trust over time.

I have an old relationship with them. I used to follow them on Facebook and other social media. In the early days, when the plastic industry had not grown that much, the situation was different for all suppliers and manufacturers. Today, Alhamdulillah, they are doing very well and very professionally, and they have brought many professional people with them. In my opinion, the company is doing very well.

The Technology Difference: From Suzuki to BMW

One of the most striking aspects of Mr. Muhammad Ibrahim’s experience was the noticeable performance difference between his previous machine and the new Tederic model.

Earlier, I bought a machine from another company. Then HiTech approached me and said that the machine you bought is like a Suzuki, and we will give you a BMW, a fifth-generation machine, an energy-efficient machine. Alhamdulillah, we bought it, and now that we are running it, there is truly a difference,” he shared.

The energy-efficient technology is particularly important in Pakistan’s manufacturing landscape, where electricity costs represent a major portion of production expenses. “The major raw material cost in plastic is electricity. Now that we have taken an energy-efficient machine, maybe we will get some margin benefits, InshaAllah,” Mr. Muhammad Ibrahim noted.

Products Manufactured at MZH Packages

MZH Packages specializes in various plastic products, including bottle caps, consumer goods packaging, and various plastic components. The company is currently in discussions with us for a cap compression molding machine. They aim to replace their 2013-14 model with the latest 2025 technology.

Technical Support & Client Relationship

Despite not having deep technical knowledge of the plastic industry, Mr. Muhammad Ibrahim consistently received strong support from HiTech Machinery’s team.

The people at HiTech are very professional. Even when we did not have their machine, they used to visit frequently. Whenever I called for technical support or they visited, they always supported us. Their feedback and support have been very good,” he explained.

He emphasized the importance of reliable after-sales service: “Any machine can face errors, even a brand-new one. In our industrial estate, voltage issues and power failures happen. These are sensitive electronic machines, so if any issue occurs, HiTech provides full professional backup support, due to which production losses are minimized.

Professionally speaking, I got this machine through HiTech’s support. Maybe I wouldn’t have been able to buy it myself. They approached me, understood my financial matters, guided me, and supported me, because of which I was able to get this machine.” 

HiTech Machinery also facilitates factory visits when Chinese technical teams visit Pakistan. And MZH Packages was lucky enough to directly interact with Tederic representative who visited his setup and share expert insights and gathered their feedback.

Advice for Industry Entrants

With his unique perspective bridging professional expertise and manufacturing experience, Mr. Muhammad Ibrahim offered candid advice for those considering entering the plastic industry.

“The market is quite saturated. When you go out to sell products, small vendors work on very low margins. I would suggest that if someone has a very specific (niche) production line with assured output/sales stream, then they should invest. Otherwise, selling general products in the open market is very difficult.”

Made in Pakistan: Quality on Par with Imports

Addressing the “Made in Pakistan” initiative that HiTech Machinery promotes, Mr. Muhammad Ibrahim confirmed the quality capabilities of local manufacturing.

“Most machines are still made in China, but the products manufactured on these machines in Pakistan are now of very high quality. The machines and molds have become so advanced that manufacturing in Pakistan is now as good as China. Products made in Pakistan are not inferior in quality at all.”
